Zip tie moments at Canada Pincon 2018

Here are a few zip tie moments at Canada Pincon 2018. The event was held on June 2nd and 3rd in Vankleek Hill Ontario.

I had a few games in the free play area and a couple more in the history section.

Free play area

I did a few shifts of guide duty in the history section.

History section

The first Zip ties moment is out of my 1966 Bally Capresville. It was the simplest way to put the game on free play. A loose zip tie stopping the credit wheel to go down to zero. No bending switch blades, no messing with alligator clip test leads. Temporary. Does the job.

The second one was out of my 1939 Keeney Thriller. The machine kept tilting because of low line power issues. Too many machines. Too long extension cords. The "hold" relay kept dropping out.

Solution: Zip tie on the switch for the relay hold in circuit.

Sometimes, you have to improvise.

In french speaking Quebec, we call zip ties "Tie wraps". No to be confused with Thai Rap.

5 in Line testing Bally Super Wall Street Bingo

Here's a shot of a 5 in line on my Super Wall Street at the Hawkesbury pinball show.

I was testing the machine after setting it up.

I was just shooting the balls into play, not paying attention and it just happened.

For real. No tricks.

My lineup at Pincon Canada 2017

Pincon Canada was held June 3rd and 4th in Hawkesbury Ontario. The event was a success. Pretty good turnout for a first year. Here's a picture of my contribution to the show. My bingo Row.
It was fun talking with other pinball enthousiasts and showing people how to play bingo machines.

Canada Pincon 2017

Canada Pincon 2017

I will be at the Canada Pincon 2017 (formally known at the Hawkesbury Flea Fair) June 3rd and 4th in Hawkesbury Ontario. I am bringing 2 Bingo machines (Bally Super Wall Street and Surf-Club) and a Bally Wizard! EM for the uninitiated. I will also host an informal Q&A session about bingo machines, how to play them and how they work. Hope to see you there.
